Try the new Knorr Homestyle Stock, it has a really good flavor. Amazon has notified me that they can't get my favorite anymore so I will be using the Knorr and the More than Gourmet ones from now on once I run out of my supply of the Maggi Beef Rib.

I just received a notification that my favorite Maggi is no longer available so I'll be using the More Than Gourmet from now on. I keep their demi glaces on hand here and they are good products too. The sodium in them doesn't seem to be as high as the Maggi are. They are more expensive though, but you only use a small amount so I guess it all works out in the end. It is sold in some grocery stores but here locally it is almost twice the price as it is on Amazon so I signed up for them on there. I add them to soups, stews, gravy and make simple sauces for sauteed chicken when I'm in a hurry but need to get dinner into hubby.

I am wondering about he sodium content in the Maggie products. My DH has high blood pressure and not sure this would be ok for him. I also read on this blog that you husband also suffer sf from HBP. I really would like to find a bouillon product that has a manageable level of sodium.

I'm not sure what we will be having for Christmas dinner. Hubby wants the standard turkey and small rib roast but I would like to change it up a bit. He usually gets a small turkey from work and we already have a small rib roast in the freezer.

Mattie, this looks great! I do have a frozen tenderloin in the freezer. I was actually going to grind it up and use it to mix with ground chuck to kick the meatballs up a notch. I put the meatball maker on my Christmas list. I usually make a lasagna or baked ziti on Christmas, but this year, if Santa brings me the meatball maker, I can add meatballs to the menu. I can actually play with my sewing stuff on Christmas because dinner will be in the digital pressure cooker (baked ziti) and the meatball maker.
